Rug and Carpet Cleaning

What type of rugs and carpets do you clean?

We clean all types of  rugs and carpets from Nylon, Polyester and Acrylic to natural fibers in hand made rugs.

We are able to clean any size rug or carpet.

How do you clean them?

Our cleaning process depends on the type of rug or carpet you have.

For the machine made carpets we put them through our duster, then through the 8 brush machine that removes the dirt and most of the stains and than into the spin dry machine.

If some of the stains do not come out after the 8 brush machine we will use special chemicals that will not damage your carpet to try to remove the remaining stains.

For the hand made rugs we also put them through the duster but not through the 8 brush machine.

We do this because a hand made rug is a lot softer and needs to be washed a lot more delicately to prevent any damage to the rug.

So for that reason we hand wash the rugs with special and powerful vacuum cleaners that do not damage your hand made rugs.

This method of cleaning is highly effective but takes a lot longer that is why the prices for the hand made rugs are a little more expensive.

Why should I clean my rug or carpet?

A dirty rug or carpet contains bugs this means that an odour could form which can affect not only your and your family’s health but your pet’s and guests health as well.

This also means a higher chance for mould and mildew to grow.

Touching or inhaling mould and mildew can cause a wide range of health problems in both allergic and non-allergic people, regardless of the spores are dead or alive.

This can cause throat irritation and nasal issues like congestion, sneezing and bloody noses.

How often should I clean them?

This all depends on how much your rug or carpet is being used and if it has a stain/s or not.

If the rug or carpet is laying where it gets a lot of traffic and is used a lot then you should clean it every 3 months.

If it is not in a busy place and is not used as much then  you should clean every 5-6 months.

If the rug gets a stain or collects dust fast then you should also send it for a clean right away to make sure that the stain does not go too deep into the rug or  carpet.

If  you have kids or pets that use the rug often you should clean your rug every 3-4 months to make sure that both your pets and kids are playing on a clean carpet.

How long does it take to clean?

This all depends on the size, thickness and whether it is a hand made rug or a machine carpet.

The thicker and bigger your rug or carpet the longer it will take to clean and dry.

Hand made rugs also take longer to clean because they need to be cleaned a lot more delicately.

If you have a large machine made or hand made carpet it will take between 2-4 days to clean and dry.

If you have a small or average size machine made or hand made rug it will take between 1-2 days.

The amount of rugs or carpets you give to use to clean also effects how long it will take to clean them.
